Construction technology
Construction technology
1. Technological innovation in the manufacturing method
Our technological innovation lays the foundation for sustainable and enduring homes that withstand extreme weather conditions and the test of time.
We build one of the best wall systems, which is entirely based on an energy-efficient construction made of renewable, ecological, and environmentally friendly materials. Additionally, the advanced design of our wall system ensures the building's stability and durability, excellent thermal insulation and waterproofing, absolute moisture protection, and very high sound insulation.
The construction philosophy of “ÖKOHAUS” homes ensures cost savings in energy and maintenance.
2. CERTIFIED HIGH-PRESSURE STRUCTURAL TIMBER - C24
Our main technological difference - Our great advantage
An important factor in the construction of homes is the type and quality of the elements that make up the load-bearing structure and the masonry, which will determine the durability of a home over time.
The "heart" of ÖKOHAUS buildings consists of certified structural high-pressure C24 processed timber, which is specially imported for the construction of the buildings we erect. This uniquely characterized material is embedded within the interior of every wall we build. Along with other specialized materials of high standards and quality that are fully compatible and synergetic with each other, an ÖKOHAUS home is created!
What makes this material so special and unique?
The advantages it gains from a special treatment!

Kiln drying wood Process
A process where the wood is placed in specially constructed chambers (dryers) for 7+ days. Drying is achieved with hot and humid air where the drying factors (temperature, relative humidity, airspeed) are controlled.Advantages of wood after drying:
- Fungi and insects that may be present in the wood are killed, preventing future infestation by fungi (coloring or rotting).
- Increased mechanical strength of the wood.
- Future warping, cracking, and swelling are avoided.
- Weight reduction.
- Increased capacity for holding nails and screws.

Wood impregnation process
A wood treatment process carried out in special vacuum and high-pressure chambers. This increases the durability of the wood, greatly extends its lifespan, and preserves its natural beauty.Advantages of wood after impregnation:
- Protection from moisture
- Protection from decay
- Protection from fungi, insects, termites
- Protection from fire - its resistance and durability against fire are significantly increased.

* For more information, we would be happy to explain and answer any questions you may have about the materials and construction technology of ÖKOHAUS in a personal meeting at our offices.
3. Factory made and precision
ÖKOHAUS is the only company for prefabricated homes in Cyprus.
The concept of "prefabricated home" for a company that builds houses implies that it has:
- A modern manufacturing factory
- Specialized machinery for the construction of walls and other wooden parts of a building.
- Specialized programs for designing details and special construction plans.
- Trained personnel for operating the machinery.
- An organized production line.
- Warehouses for proper storage and protection of construction materials.
Advantages of an ÖKOHAUS prefabricated building:
- Precision and detail in construction.
- Quality of construction.
- Speed of wall production.
- Speed of home construction.
- Ability for the owner to verify that the agreed materials have been used (walls do not arrive closed at the construction site).
- Ability to construct buildings of any size and height.
- Capability for custom-built homes according to the owner's needs and requirements.
- Immediate customer service since our prefabrication factory is located in Cyprus.
4. Bioclimatic Design
The harmony between architecture and energy efficiency. Bioclimatic design aims to utilize most local features (climate, vegetation, topography, soil geology) to minimize the building's energy needs and create greater comfort conditions in the home (humidity, acoustics, natural light).
At ÖKOHAUS, we have the know-how, materials, and resources to make your home encompass all the above. We will help you choose the techniques and materials that best suit you, your needs, and your environment. Additionally, we place special emphasis on integrating the building into the landscape and respecting the character of the existing space.
All these factors will determine your daily comfort, ease, and quality of life for you and your family in your home.
